This Privacy Policy describes how the NEC Electrical Calculator app ("the app", "we") handles information when you use it. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
The app is an electrical calculation tool that works offline. We do not ask you to register or sign in, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or location. The calculations and history you create are stored on your device only. The only data collection happens through the advertising service (Google AdMob), as described below.
The free version of the app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. To do so, Google's SDK may collect and process:
This processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Purchasing the Pro Version removes all ads.
The Pro Version is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play Billing. We never receive or store your card or payment details — the entire transaction is handled by Google.
We do not sell or share your personal data. The only third party that processes data is Google (AdMob and Play Billing), within the limits described above.
The app is intended for professionals aged 18 and over (electricians, technicians, inspectors and engineers) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Communication with the advertising services uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your calculation data stays on your device.
Results provided by the app are design aids based on the National Electrical Code (NEC 2023 / NFPA 70) and must be verified by a licensed electrical professional and the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). The app does not replace an electrical design signed by a licensed professional.
